Sv. Grgur/island of Sveti Grgur

Sveti Grgur is an uninhabited island in Croatia, on the Adriatic Sea between Rab and Krk.
The island was the site of a women's prison in communist Yugoslavia from 1948 to 1988.

In the deepest part of the bay, there is a 40-metre-long jetty. The depth ranges between 2.5 and 4 metres, offering possibilities for landing. The left side of the jetty is not suitable for sailing yachts to land, because it is too shallow at a depth of approximately 1 metre.

The bay is partly sheltered from the bura wind and entirely safe from the jugo. It is open towards the west. On the side of the bay that is covered with woods, there is another jetty with depths ranging from 2 m near its head to 1 m near the other end. On this side, there are several good spots for swimming.

Anchoring is permitted in the whole of the bay.
