In high season, there are also 30 buoys in front of the breakwater. There is room for 60 transit vessels. If all these places are taken, it is also possible to anchor on the sandy sea bed. Anchorage depth is 4 to 10 meters.
When the bura is blowing, mooring in Mul Harbour is very dangerous. Inside the harbour, the sea swells. According to the accounts of local people, in 2007 there was a strong bura and many masts crossed. If you are tied to a buoy in front of the breakwater, you are directly exposed to the bura. When the bura is blowing, it is best to go to Sveti Ante Bay on the south-west side of the island. You can moor to a buoy there and wait for the storm to pass.
