Lesser Neptune grass/Cymodocea nodosa
Description of the species:
Lesser Neptune grass is a plant with light to dark green leaves 15-40 cm long and 3-4 mm wide. The leaves are jagged and narrow with 7-9 parallel strings. The root is only a few millimetres thick.
Threat:
Pollution and degradation of habitat.
Protection:
The species is strictly protected in accordance with the Ordinance designating protected and strictly protected wild species (Official Gazette 7/06 and 99/09).
